"Bullyproofing Your Kids"

Posted 2011-04-06 17:10:33 by Jun Akiyama
News URL: http://www.thelondoner.ca/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=3060272

This article entitled "Bullyproofing Your Kids" highlights Derek Bindner in London, Ontario (Canada) who runs a "Kid Power Bullyproof Program" at his dojo.

From the article: Bindner preaches confident body language and communication skills. If things do get physical, simply knowing how to get out of the way â€" an important part of aikido â€" can help. The program offers "tools and solutions that are intelligent, that won't get them into trouble," Bindner said. He added simply talking about bullying can only help so much. "We need to give kids something real to learn and implement," he said. "It also transfers to the adult world as well."

Re: "Bullyproofing Your Kids"

Nice find Jun. I passed this on to my Facebook friends. Some of them have children that have problems with bullies in school.
