Introduction

As it is considered rude on some boards and forums to post without introducing oneself, I decided to make a post here my first one on this forum.

My name is Jon Holloway, I am a federal law enforcement officer in the United States, and I currently train at the Warren Budokan. Sensei Mickey Gelum and I work out together frequently, and the fact that he has instructor rankings in multiple martial arts and is a former law enforcement officer of much experience renders the workouts somewhat spirited and interesting from time-to-time .

I am the head of system of Albo Kali Silat, a Filipino martial art system that, until recently (the last two decades), was solely practiced by the Albo clan. For a quick synopsis of my background and experience, I refer you here, to the blurb that is posted over at Black Belt Magazine: http://www.blackbeltmag.com/jon_holloway/archives/746

I like to think of this as the corner bar/cafe we adjourn to after training

Nice .

I think I have already recognized Dilbert here.

Oh well, sometimes things are good, sometimes bad, and sometimes as silly as a Loony Tunes cartoon, but such is life on the Interwebs (and life in general, really). Besides, there seem to be some nice people here, and maybe a few of them will be friendly and occasionally converse and interact with the "Uncouth Barbarian" that is me, as long as I refrain from gratuitous violence and excessive bloodshed, unless, of course, such things are absolutely necessary
