Saito books.

Hello.
I am very new here and was curious as to something I recently read regarding the teachings of M Saito sensei. It said that his original Aikido books,a collection of six I believe,,are now worth a lot of money. Is this correct or are they regarding something else all together? The thing is I have all six,,all original, with the cine films and the sound recordings to go with them?
Could somebody please just give me a little insight into this ?
Many thanks
S Jones

You can search on:

http://www.abebooks.com/

First editions of the 5 volumes in hardcover (with dust jackets) from 1970's are quite valuable...

Re: Saito books.

Your best bet is: http://www.aikidojournal.com/bibliography?author=92

Check out Traditional aikido, they have reprinted vol 1 & 2. There is also the set of 5 Takemusu Aikido books. Newer and very good.

Cheers,
Jeff

Re: Saito books.

The original book series had 5 volumes and when they were out of print the prices went up considerably. Now the first 3 volumes are back in print and sell for $80. Here is volume ONE, TWO, & THREE.

Not sure if volumes 4 and 5 will be reprinted or not.
