News URL: http://www.seminarioisoyama.com

On June 5th Hiroshi Isoyama Shihan will be visiting Mexico City where he will be the leading instructor at an Aikido seminar. Isoyama Shihan currently holds an 8th Dan within Aikikai and is the Chief Instructor at the Ibaraki Shibu Dojo in Iwama Japan on behalf of Ueshiba Moriteru Doshu.

Isoyama Shihan started his career in Aikido at the age of 12 as a student of Ueshiba Morihei O'Sensei and founder of Aikido. During his long career in the Martial Arts, Isoyama Shihan has been the Chief of Defensive Tactics for the Japan Self Defense Force Academy, and has been an instructor to the U.S. Army on self defense tactics. Some of his first students were members of the American Military Police, and eventually included amongst others Steven Seagal Sensei as well as members of Japan's armed forces.

Re: Isoyama Shihan in Mexico City, June 5th and 6th

Due to medical reasons Isoyama Sensei won't be able to participate in this event. We wish a fast and complete recovery to Isoyama Sensei and do hope that he can share his wisdom with us next year.

Seminar will go on with Michael Moreno Sensei 6th dan Aikikai and student of NiDai Doshu (O'Sensei's son), and Fernando Fon Sensei also 6th dan Aikikai.

Is Sensei Isoyama likely to make any other North American visits this year?

Thanx...
