Hello from Calgary

Hi all,

My name is Tim. I've been doing martial arts for a number of years. My main style is can-ryu jiu jitsu taught by Sensei Hiscoe in Ottawa, Canada. This style is more akin to japanese jiu jitsu with a heavy emphasis on practical applications, self protection, and police tactics. Since moving to the other side of the country I've been trying to find a school that i like but have had some difficulty.

I've trained at a few other jiu jitsu dojos but they didn't do it for me. I've been fooling around with judo for about a year, but the club is more focused on the competition side of judo rather than the martial art.

I'm going to my first aikido class tonight. Any advice?

Cheers,

Tim
