Visiting Okinawa in December

We are thinking to visit Okinawa. Any suggestions for 2 weeks of travel? What places are nice to visit? recommendations for hotels?
How about weather, can we do water sports? And finally - where to practice aikido

Hey Mr. S.,
Will you get to the mainland as well?

Re: Visiting Okinawa in December

I was there many years ago as a Marine. Okinawa was wonderful. There is great diving and swimming near White Beach. By all means visit the Shuri Castle and enjoy wandering around Naha. It's quite possible to visit a number of dojo there. Public transportation was easy and cheap to use and the people I met were warm, friendly and very helpful. I've talked to several neighbors who have been there recently (I live next to Camp Pendleton and many are currently Marines) and they've had similar experiences. You should have a great time there.
