Glasses and Aikido

I wear my glasses in judo, bjj, and when I was training aikido in aikido.

I only take them off when it comes time to actually spar (or in a very hard hitting throw line).

The only time I had to take them off in aikido was the summer when I'd get so sweaty that they wouldn't stay on my face when I rolled.

Thanks for all the posts, there has been some great insight (if you pardon the pun ).

I think i'm going to keep them off for the time being, until I get more confident with the techniques. Plus it's cold here at the moment and I noticed when I put them back on at the end of class they fog up. I'd hate for that to happen during class.

I don't wear glasses but I've seen many glasses slapped/knocked off in seminars. If they are a must, I recommend a strap to keep them on your head. Otherwise contacts may be an option.
