Have you seen Cowboy Bebop? Wow, I guess it's about 4 years old by now (it was made in 1998) but it's great. It has drama, action, comedy, and the animation is some of the best in my opinion.

Some favourites of mine :

1. Rouronin Kenshin (Samurai X)
2. Tenchi Muyo (The series as well the OVAs and movies)
3. Ghost in a Shell
4. Ninja Scroll
5. Video Girl Ai
6. Kimagure Orange Road
7. Shadowskill the Movie
8. Macross The Movie
9. Ushiro & Tora
10. Golden Boy

can't get enough of them. And now that I have a PS2 with multiregion DVD capabilities, I can watch all those animes that comes out in DVD only here! Heh Heh.

Draw strength from stillness. Learn to act without acting. And never underestimate a samurai cat.

That's awesome. I'm starting to put some money aside for an anime collection. I can't wait.

AAAHHHH!!! I don't know how I missed this topic!!!! I even have listed in my profile that I like Japanese Animation!

My favorites are Dragonball Z, Tenshi Muyo, Outlaw Star, Sailor Moon, the new Yu-Yu Hakusho, and yes, even Pokemon! Those are the only ones I've really seen although I've heard of many others.

Have a nice day!

Pokémon: yay!
but Digimon: grrrr...
Saint Seiya: outstanding fight scenes!
Candy Candy: even you tough boys cried while watching this...
And remember Ninja, Cat's Eyes, Entaku no Kishi Monogatari: Moero Arthur (King Arthur), Hello, Sandybelle!, Kimba the White Lion, Grandizer...?

There were also some excellent anime movies, like The Little Mermaid and Swan Lake, which were definitely not as cutesy and sappy as their Disney versions.

Anyone remembers what the series involving a certain Sasuki was called?

Geezzzz, you brought back so many memories!
You're right though, they don't make good ones anymore.

blessings,

~ Mona

Has anyone seen Niea_7??!!! (from the makers of Lain)

now THAT'S funny!!!!
i mean really funny & you don't have to think much.
Imagine: aliens (millions of them) living on earth, trying hard to assimilate with humans, the only difference is they have antennas and Mr.Spock's ears. One wacko lower class (under 7) always hungry alien decided to stay, uninvited, in a bath house in a small village. Her room mate is a poor girl working two jobs a day and studying in a cram school at the same time.
Totally wacky humor & great seiyuu.

Anime?

They don't make good one's anymore? You're kidding, right?

Series:
Vision of Escaflowne
Cowboy Bebop
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Ah! My Goddess!

Feature Films:
Princess Mononoke
Kiki's Delivery Service
Perfect Blue
Ghost in the Shell

Specials:
Blood: The Last Vampire

On TV (although heavily edited):
Card Captor Sakura
Digimon
Pokemon
Dragonball Z
Sailor Moon

(IMO the stuff on TV has been edited so much you really haven't seen the the show. The only exception may be Digimon, as I haven't seen the original)
