Cannot personally attend.
Neither can our head instructor of Tenshinkai Aikido, Sensei Dang Thong Phong.
We will be represented by Sensei George Shojin Kongo.
Look him up.
Hopefully, next time.

Having just returned from the Congress, I must say that it was a great event. A lot of interesting teachings and the Aikido Association of Thailand did a fantastic job in organizing it. Khawp khun khrap!

However, I noticed the absence of Aikido practitioners from South Korea. Anybody know why?

Re: Asian Aikido Federation Congress Bangkok

I have so many memories of the Bangkok event but as a first timer at such seminars, I'd never seen many of the shihans before, so the sight of one of the little old shihans really stands out. He really inspired me because he is so tiny and little and frail looking but boy could he move guys less than half his age and more than twice his weight. As one of my fellow dojo mates said, "I'd like to see that guy walk in the Bronx. All the muggers there will be in for a big surprise."

It's one of the reasons why I took up aikido, because I wanted a martial art I could continue to practice for a very long time yet and continue to grow into its depth.
