Lightbulb What do you see......pics inside

I have been digging through some of my aikido texts and came across the following pics. There are more like this. Do you see a common theme?

Wow, cool! Push tests in pictures and not just words.

Love the tree pic. I think he's spiritually harmonizing with Nature.

Or else, he's barking up the wrong tree. It woodn't be very fruitful. He might as well leave. Or branch out to another art. Oh, wait, he did that. Got to the root of that problem, didn't I? And I didn't even have to go out on a limb.

You're too funny o punmaster.

I have one of those free standing heavy bags that I've been trying to push SLOWLY without having it affect my body (i.e. no reaction). The center picture of O Sensei reminded me of that exercise.

I like top-right best! Rugby in Japan, the drop-kick attempt.
(I don't think all the pics show pushing though...)

I agree. I think the thing they all have in common is: the training and testing of an aiki-do body without using waza.

Ask Rob L. about him experiencing the top right picture just last night and being breakfalled with the drop.
It is Daito ryu...all the way. There are other pictures with him being grabbed from the back like this as well.

Mark M. that was hilarious.

Dan do you at least warn your chiropractor before he/she grabs your head for an adjustment?

Well, my bark is worse than my bite. And if I'm flowering you too much with these jokes, I'll try to nip them in the bud. Or at least stem the tide somewhat so that they don't grow too big. Course, I am a little nutty.
