Shobu Aikido is relocating from Newton, MA to Union Square this spring "if they get approval from Somerville's Zoning Board of Appeals and Planning Board March 5." The article continues, "Aikido student and Columbus Avenue resident Gordon Fontaine said Union Square’s heavy artist population was a draw for the studio. 'Artists, musicians, doctors, seem to be drawn to aikido because it’s so complex and refined,' he said."
