Jo Kagrame

Hi list; I'm full of curiosity tonight, and am trying to find the origin of the term (and current form of) Jo Kagrame. I don't speak much Japanese beyond the dojo level, but the word "Kagrame" seems odd to me--with the "gr" in the middle. I've seen this spelling online in a few places, and have tried alternates with no luck. Does anyone have a translation? A correction to the spelling? Or is this just a made-up word like "Kodak"? I eagerly await a vocabulary and/or history lesson from my learned colleagues.

Hi Janet! Yes, I do still lurk here. I'm in Athens, Georgia currently, practicing when I can and trying to stay current. Best to you and all out there--fall safe!
