Compassion and relaxation
In the pause that relaxing provides I find compassion for myself and my uke. This in turn helps me relax more and starts a feedback loop. It is wondrous in it's simplicity.

I would agree.
Relaxation and compassion are so simple they are easy to miss.
Yet, the signs of their absence is so easy to see.

Mary, I have expressed this to myself using different words, but not as simply and consisely as you have nailed it. Yes, it is amazing how we have the ability to do such quick "attitude adjustments." Thank you.
