bokken and jo katta

Can anybody tell me where I can find the steps ore any directions at all, for bokken and jo kattas.
I m very new at this and I keep forgetting the steps and hits or cuts that I have to make. Some times I m so clumsy that its embarrassing, I feel like I m messing everybody's practice.
I need to practice more on my own but I don't remember the kattas very well, so I need something to get directions from when in doubt.

Re: bokken and jo katta

It really depends on the kata you are refering to. If you are talking about Saito's system there are videos to be purchased from e.g. aikidojournal.com

Ask a senior student to spend extra time with you before or after class. It is your responsibility to ask, it is the senior's responsibility to share. Remember to thank him/her afterward; be mindful, you may become a sempai to someone some day.

If you have been taught suburi, Saito's 7 suburi for example, you could focus on just practicing those.

Try this link: http://www.aikidokids.com/videogallery.htm

Not HI resolution, but you should be able to get a feel for the basic movements...
