Hello I'm Kieran!

Hi everybody, my name is Kieran and I live in Ireland. I have trained in Aikido [Aiki No Michi] for the past 11 years and have reached Nidan at the moment...I love Aikido and have opened a new dojo in County Cork [a humbling experience!!!], but there is a great bunch coming to train....This is my first time using the Aiki web, so take it easy on me!!!!

Re: Hello I'm Kieran!

Oh, I dont know.....newbies normally get a beat down of 30 Koshinages....50 if they're Irish!

Welcome to Aikiweb!

Oh, watch out for that DarkShodan guy. He's Scottish and can be a bit cheeky!

"If it's not Scottish it's crap!"

Victims, aren't we all.

Re: Hello I'm Kieran!

We had some girl join our club last night, she's from Sweden. Nice! We had a guy from France come visit us a few years back. We still keep in touch. Aikido is a great place to be! I trained in Italy when I was stationed there. It's been great! We all speak "Aikidoese". Good to have an Irish connection now.

I was re-reading your post. You have your own dojo now? How long have you had that? How is that going? Would like to open my own place, but not for another year or two.

Victims, aren't we all.

Re: Hello I'm Kieran!

I opened a Dojo in East Cork [no-one else there, so I thought I'd spread the 'gospel' there] last October..it is a most humbling experience, and still is, as the Aikidoka are the life-blood and without them there is no dojo. Still though, whatever happens, I am glad that I have tried it as I have always wanted to get to this position.. my advice is to see if there is people out there who are interested and the best way to do this is put out a poster asking anyone who is interested to manke contact with you.

Hope this helps

Kieran
