Howdy ya'll

Hello from Texas. I'm already sure there are plenty of Texans already; one more can't hurt.

So far I've been training since 2004ish and hold the rank of Sankyu. Underneath this I have 14 years of Taekwondo training and hold a 3rd degree black belt.

I've been enjoying my cross-training in Aikido very much and fully intend to advance as far as I can go. Taekwondo still remains my principal discipline which manifests itself several time in Aikido class when I put my weight on my back foot and look for the opening for a good kick. Thankfully, I've never thrown a kick in the dojo because I get my Taekwondo "fix" elsewhere.

I hope to get lots of information on everything that is Aikido here and take some of the advice/information and find a use for it.

Sincerely,
Michael Mansfield
