Re: Aikido in Russia

Aikido is enjoying growing popularity in Russia. I have a book in my library that is based on Tomiki style, and is bi-lingual Russian/English (here's a bibliography entry: http://www.aikidojournal.com/bibliog...ils.php?id=250). I also know a Ki Society instructor from the States that has taught seminars in Russia, and comments on their enthusiasm. Many comparisons have also been made between Systema and the aiki arts.

Re: Aikido in Russia

There is also a growning number of Yoshinkan schools in Russia. Must notebaly in St. Petersberg and Moscow. There are also schools in Ukraine. These schools have hosted many of the top shihan's from Japan.
