tanren?

anybody know how to make or where i can get info on making a tanren?

Hi Damien,

there is a video called "Aikido in Training: Tanren - Spirit Forging" in the video section of this web page. I've not seen that myself.

I tried to follow some simple priciples and build a tanren stand myself by it was a bit of a disaster. Basically I lashed a tripod together and lashed a tire on top but I didn't have enough rope and it got progressively lower as I wacked it. Also, I think I prefer cutting without a tenren stand - it is a very different feel.
So now I hope this obsolete and sloppy looking tripod with a tire attatched hanging around in my garden.
