I'm not sure how funny this video really is (I'm laughing, but with a guilty conscience). Its tragic that this is something the Japanese feel they must learn when coming to visit here.
In 1998 I visited some friends who live in Tokyo. They were military, but lived off base in a Japanese home. When they first arrived in Japan, they were advised that they could always leave their home and car doors unlocked without fear of break-ins...unless they were on base where they were surrounded by Americans. There it was a theft probelm and it was "big-american-city" security measures as usual: don't leave your car doors unlocked and hide all valuables...sad state of affairs

Of course, I'm sure there has been many a cringing Japanese face when seeing some of the incorrect use of kanji on American t-shirts (and tattoos).
