Ai symbol Starting My Journey

Hello all,

I would like to formally make my introduction into the Aikido forum.

I like many others will be taking my first steps in Aikido this week. I am going to start my education at the Bond Street Dojo under Sensei Paul Kang in Manhattan N.Y. I visited every Aikido Dojo in Manhattan and sat through hours of classes and chose this one. Why? well, I had to choose one right.

You will be happy to know that I have read many many of your stories as well as insightful questions and answers......so I will not be asking the same Q's you have endured time and time again. This will hopefully eliminate any beating a dead horse graphics I've seen. Wow!!! that's a relief huh.

I will however have some questions or comments of my own in due time. Can't wait to get my first bruise..........until then.

Re: Starting My Journey

Hey Jeff!
Congratulations and welcome!
I've met one of the instructors from the Bond Street Dojo. Nice guy.
Have you heard about the New York Ki Aikido Dojo? I didn't see you come by! (or were you that tall guy with some beard stubble who went to NYU?)

I'm sure Bond street is a nice place (haven't swung by yet), but if you're the type that wants to learn to do great aikido WITHOUT bruises, you should stop by the Ki Aikido dojo,

We practice at 122 W 27th Street, 2nd floor
7pm on tues. and thurs., and 9am on saturdays.

Re: Starting My Journey

Well, almost all the Dojo's. It is probably the only Dojo I missed. Sorry I missed it. However I am tall for the record but without beard stubble. Wish me luck.

Does. Not. Compute.

They're all screaming about the rock n roll, but I would say that it's getting old. - REFUSED.

Re: Starting My Journey

Bruises are inevitable when first starting out, I guess However I will protect my ego from being bruised by leaving it at the door

Re: Starting My Journey

Jeff,
Welcome aboard and hey...watch out for yonkyo! It's a bruiser. Hey like Wayne said, stop by NY Ki Aikido and have an intro lesson. You might be surprised! What can I say... I'm partial to Ki Aikido.

Plus Ki to everyone.
