ten things you would do to rude ppl

ok so there was this person who shall remain names less who was being rude to me tonight. but in the spirit of aiki i said nothing !! thing is it didnt stop me from thinking about it

so here is suggestion number 1: make them do relentless shikko until they repent for their sins

some things are so dear and so precious you have to let them go

You mean "do endless shikko until the pain in their shins forces them to repent"

Re: ten things you would do to rude ppl

Rude people...need to be forced into jobs at grocery stores, restaurants, hotels and coffee shops...until they realize how just one %#!*@ can really ruin your day...and how dealing with an endless succession of people like that, day in, day out, can frankly turn you psychotic.

Not that I just came home from work or anything... But it's exactly why I started training in Aikido!

Re: ten things you would do to rude ppl

Make them read every thread on ki across various boards followed by having to summarize every posters position using bullet points and three-d charts (and the odd moibus strip for some posters). Then, when they've done that, identify and categorize every form of "true or real aikido" (TM) by dojo, sensei and style - that should be painful enough for anyone.

Re: ten things you would do to rude ppl

Be polite. Excruciatingly polite. Always smile. Sincerely. Broadly. Without reservation. Keep that facade of cheerfulness firmly fixed in place.

Never vary from strictest rules of etiquette. They are "Mr.", "Miss", or "Mrs." and none of that mamby-pamby "Ms." stuff. We are talking traditional etiquette here! First names are never used in public.

Above all; Be Nice.

FWIW: I have actually used this approach with some very rude people. It doesn't make friends out of them by any means, but somehow the perception is that they are at fault for all conflicts...

Ground them down with your superior intellect and vocabulary untill they feel very small and insignifigant. Then hit them.

They're all screaming about the rock n roll, but I would say that it's getting old. - REFUSED.

Re: ten things you would do to rude ppl

To tell the truth, just stand your ground and ask some manners of them. At work the other day I had finished my 8 hour nightshift and was catching a breather before I walked home. I had my feet up on the footstool (which I thought was fine, that being what a footstool is intended for?) and I was listening to my walkman. I noticed a canteen worker talking to me so I took the headphones out only to hear her say:

'Could you take your feet off that?' quite aggressively.

I looked at her and said: 'Please?'

She seemed a bit taken aback and told me she had said please three times when I had my earphones in, I apologised but said that it wasnt my fault. Problem solved.

They're all screaming about the rock n roll, but I would say that it's getting old. - REFUSED.

Re: ten things you would do to rude ppl

Thats exactly my point. It's fairly obvious that you probably wont get someones attenttion who's listening to a walkman and isnt looking in your direction and is suffering from sleep deprivation

Re: ten things you would do to rude ppl

Ummm....shoot nerf darts at them. its what we do to the drunks in my dorm who refuse to be quiet no matter how many times you ask them to or how many times the RA gets involved. But that's always a last resort. I agree w/ Robert. Just kill them w/ kindness

Someone save me if you will

And please just save me if you can
