Anita Köhler (6th dan, AIkido Dojo Darmstadt) Passes Away

I have just received news that Anita Köhler (6th dan, Aikido Dojo Darmstadt, Germany) has passed away. Köhler started aikido in 1987 with Ingo Beardi and then started training with Christian Tissier in 1990. She also studied taichi and bagua with Bruce Frantzis, Lui Jin Ru, and Kong Cheng.

My condolences to her family, friends, students, and loved ones.

These are very sad and shocking news. I met her a couple of years during a seminar she hosted at her Darmstadt dojo. She was a devoted Aikido practitioner who had a graceful and effective way of performing technique. My heartfelt condolences to her family, loved ones, students and fellow Aikido practitioners.

She was also an enthusiastic and committed student of Dan Harden and the Sangenkai method. She will be sorely missed.

Best,

Chris
