Ah, interesting. I wasn't aware of studies showing microtears.

That said, I would like to see a change in practice from stretching before and maybe some light warmups, to warmups at the beginning and cool down stretching at the end.

I keep telling myself I could do that on my own, but I don't listen to myself very often.
