Marc
We will be back in Boston late in June to visit friends in the area, to late for your workshop.....have to wait until my wife finishes her school year mid June. I'll likely see Keith in Santa Ana. Would love to go to Hawaii for the July workshop, but got the look from my wife when I mentioned it....hahahhaha.

Heck, I got the look from my wife simply for signing up for the Orange County workshop... And that's local.

Your wife is clearly more understanding than Gary's and Keith's, Pauliina.

Clearly you folks have not studied the American martial art of Three-stooge Ryu. They have very effective eye-poke techniques when people give you the wrong looks!

Re: Dan Harden Seminar. June 4 & 5, 2011. Bedford Hills, New York
Let me clarify....the look from my wife was the one she gives me when she questions the money to be spent and the timing of spending it....we fly back from the east after having dispersed substantial amounts of money...then I take a day...fly to Hawaii. It is the scheduling and the costs she is concerned about. It still may happen as we have family in the islands....... And I think I will see that rogue when I am in the Boston area anyhow....

Re: Dan Harden Seminar. June 4 & 5, 2011. Bedford Hills, New York
My wife is 5 foot 1 inch of hell and fury. No thanks. She scares me... Something about those womanly hormones... Or to quote Basil Fawlty, she can "kill a man at ten paces with one lash of her tongue."
The "look" really means "the kid needs braces, we're busy, there's things to do and why the heck do you think you have time to go spend a whole weekend not helping me with all the things we need to do with the kid and if you have time for that you have time for cleaning up the house and getting ahead in the work which would raise more money for the kid's private school and .... "
We've been married over 20 years. That look can communicate 1000 things in the blink of an eye... And I'm not stupid -- I ain't even thinking about a finger poke near her face. She can read my mind, I'm sure of it.

Re: Dan Harden Seminar. June 4 & 5, 2011. Bedford Hills, New York
Let me add something here from my experiences.......I don't know how it is any place else in the world, but here on here on west coast the "look" is passed from mother to daughter...I know my daughter has it and she didn't get it from me........and all sons get from their fathers the....lift both hands up to your side..palms up..and state "What!! What!!" in response to the look.......

Re: Dan Harden Seminar. June 4 & 5, 2011. Bedford Hills, New York
One morning while sitting at the dinging-room table and peering over my coffee into the kitchen I noticed that "she who must be obeyed" didn't seem her normal happy, smiley self. So screwing up all my early morning Neanderthal charm I decided to express my heartfelt concern for "she who gives meaning to life." I blurted out . . .
"What's your problem?!!!"
Even as the poisoned words of my idiotic inquiry, exited my stunned mouth, instinct kicked in and I immediately ducked and covered. At some pre-consious level came the immediate realization that I had just signed my own death warrant, and all verbal and/or physical maneuvering would ultimately and decisively prove futile. There IS no escape from THE LOOK!
"If do right, no can defense!!"
[Have a great seminar everybody!!]

Hi Marc,
I already contacted Dan and I will be up for this.
I also sent you an email asking about hotel recommendations in the area but got no response - so I am reaching out publicly on that just in case I had a bad email address for you.
Thanks
Greg

Hi Bud
I was planning
Frid. 6:30 till 9
Sat. 9-6
Sun.. 9-6
I have been all over the place and late in getting out info.
I guess I was casual as Marc's place is sort of an "in-house" workshop to me, with only a few "guests."
I am running on 3 hours sleep, but I will get something about after I talk to Marc today.
All the best
Dan

Re: Dan Harden Seminar. June 4 & 5, 2011. Bedford Hills, New York
I would like to thank everybody for attending this very successful seminar. The crazy mix between serious practice and good humor made the long hours more than worth the price for admissions.
I owe a big apology to everyone for not have a communal dinner on Saturday night. Between Dan's schedule and my schedule, this was a slip-up that escaped our attention until literally the end of training on Saturday. People know that I always open my house up to a pot-luck dinner so that everybody can relax, socialize and talk..... I will do my best to make up for this mistake when Dan returns in September.
Cordially,
Marc Abrams

Re: Dan Harden Seminar. June 4 & 5, 2011. Bedford Hills, New York
Hello Marc. I had a great time at this seminar and I want to say thank you to everyone there. Some very talented and dedicated (albeit weird) folks there and very welcoming.
This was only my second time training with Dan and yet I feel that more things are making sense and my body is starting to remember what it's supposed to feel like. That's pretty exciting to me and helps with the solo training.
Being able to train with some of the folks that have been training with Dan for a long time was especially helpful and I'm grateful to them for their generosity and patience. Dan is a great teacher and so are his students. Marc, it's pretty bizarre how you are able to immediately sense which of my muscles are firing as we trained. That was a lot of fun and great feedback.
Thanks again to you and Dan and everyone. Looking forward to the next time.
