Hello,

I am lurking here allready for a few months and decided to register.

My name is Jan Van Sweevelt, 39 years old, married, no children (yet). I live in Belgium (not many from there on board here I believe).

I used to do alot of sports when I was a student (karate, rockclimbing, hiking), once I started working my career took away too much time. Like many people I think, I am now taking a notch back in work and try to bring more "quality of living" in my life (healthy food, more sports, spending time with familly and friends). So I started a year ago looking for a sport I could start, I checked out my old dojo and quickly noticed that karate is not for me anymore. A friend (who is aikido sensei himself) advised me to check out aikido and I am now practising aikido for almost a year now. My body is still not used yet to the practise (spended the last 14 years sitting behind a pc ), I get alot of sores in my back but I hope in time it gets better so I can build up the trainings.

I love it alot and can't wait for the courses to start again (september or october).

Jan
