Dojo's in Utah
Hey guy's I tried posting in my Hello thread But the last 3 times I have tried to post it did not replicate to the server. (or they were blocked?) I am going to go look at http://www.saltlakeaiki.org/ This friday if every thing works out. Does any one have any other recommendation ? From what I have found out it looks like it is a very respectable place.

Re: Dojo's in Utah
My impression of Aikido is that it is very difficult and nuanced. More so than the Karate and Pa Kua that I studied before it. It certainly isn't for everyone, but no art is.

Re: Dojo's in Utah
That dojo is in North Ogden. That's about 45 minutes from the Salt Lake Valley, which is where I assume that the OP is at. Not very practical. There are many dojos in this valley, but you won't find most of them on the web.
*Edit: That's 45 minutes if you drive 20 mph over the speed limit as is customary in Utah.

Would you be kind enough to list those that aren't on the web please?

Re: Dojo's in Utah
If I knew where they were, I would. I'm only aware of them because I heard my sensei mention that there are more than a dozen other dojos in this valley.

Re: Dojo's in Utah
I visited Utah Aikikai ( http://www.utahaiki.com/) for a couple days back in the winter. It's a very nice space and I enjoyed it quite a bit.

I maintain a directory of Aikido dojo in Utah. Currently there are 9 listings in Salt Lake City and several others throughout the state.

BTW - if anybody knows of any other dojo that are not on the list, please contact me so I can include them. Thanks.
