As of August 2008, samurai swords....

will be banned in Britain for sale to anyone other than collectors and only then they must be authenticated blades. Apparently Britain has had a slew of assaults using mostly cheap Chinese knockoffs purchased in curio shops/martial arts supply stores. Most of the wounds have been from stabbings rather than cutting, not surprisingly.
Since Britain has gun laws that are some of the toughest on the planet, criminals will turn to whatever weapon is at hand. Some of them actually prefer knives to guns(look at the Krays). My question is this. How long will it be before regular kitchen/utility knives are banned for sale to anyone other than those licensed to carry( say carpenters, home makers etc). I mean, WHAT THE F&*^!!
