Re: Worn out black belts??

Hi,

I don't want to open a new topic for this thing. I have one question concerning a brand new black belt. The white tag (often indicates obi size/length, positioned under brand label), should it be removed (cut off) before use or should it stay on the obi belt. I've seen many aikidokas have them on, but also a lot of them are without one. Some of them don't even have brand labels on anymore, so it is blank (black) only embroidery if they have one. Any particular rule about that?

Thanks for any reply.

BL

Re: Brand New Belt - Remove Tag?

It does not matter unless you need the label information. It's just a garment.

Re: Brand New Belt - Remove Tag?

I used to take all the labels off of my belts. They annoyed me. Do what you want since you see it being done different ways in your dojo
