Re: A reglamentary uniform

Hi Felipe,

You ask a lot of questions that would be best answered by your Sensei or sempai. Each dojo, each sensei, each Aikido organization is a little different and it is impossible to answer some of your questions with accuracy and none of us would like to mislead you. Normally in our dojo, students wear white dogi and either black or indigo hakama. We have had new or visiting students train in black hapkido uniforms, blue judo uniforms and various types of karate uniforms. I've never seen a rule or heard of one in our school, but it is unusual to see anything but the white dogi. If you've been allowed to train in your black gi, perhaps it is fine with your Sensei. Only he can give you the answer.

Best of luck on your test.

Michael
