1st Kyu

I did it. Almost 3 years of pain, injuries, whiplash and smashed toes......Finally have my 1st Kyu. I can now sit back and not think about grading for at least a year and truly start learning this pain in the neck (literally) art

Re: 1st Kyu

Cheers, yeah.....need to start falling with a bit more grace I reckon! Not had a real injury for a while, just ni-kyo and yon-kyo hurts now. I'm finding now that I'm a higher grade the techniques are really being applied but in the same vain I'm starting to be able to apply them back so it's all good fun. I'm really starting to see a lot more now as well, as if something has now clicked. I suppose it's all part of the learning curve however, at the same time, the higher I go the less I seem to know. Very odd

Re: 1st Kyu

I wish I got congratulated for something I did two years ago!

Think Kris has made Shodan yet? Either way, I hope Kris is still practicing! Go Kris!
