Sweaty feet.

Hi all,

Been a while but I was wondering if any of you suffer with sweaty feet?
I have noticed that my feet sweat and are quite smelly for class and this is a little embarrassing…

Any suggestions?

Tiyler Durden

Re: Sweaty feet.

You can always wash your feet before the start of class.
That wont keep them from sweating, but it should keep the smell away for a while.

You can also loose some winds in class, that will distract the attention from your feet

Re: Sweaty feet.

Do you: wash your feet before class, and anyway, wash them every day? Change socks and shoes every day? Wear shoes that "breathe"? Wear slippers off the mat? Dry your feet well after washing them/showering?

If your feet tend to smell despite all that I'd suspect something like a fungus (aka athletes foot), if that's the case, you need to treat it to get rid of the smell. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Athlete's_foot

Here in Holland I think what you get if you ask at an apotheek is miconazol nitrate to treat it.

Hope that helps.

Re: Sweaty feet.

Some people just have feet that sweat more, but there's a trick you can do to get them to sweat less. After you shower in the morning, dry your feet and then spray them with an aerosol antiperspirant. There will be some immediate change because of the antiperspirant, but more to the point, over a few weeks you'll actually train your feet to sweat less, and you can stop using the antiperspirant. Over time the tendency will come back, if you're one of those people -- just spray 'em for a few weeks and you'll be all set.

Try using some Potassium Aluminum Sulfate dodecahydrate powder. I tried it with my palms before and it worked pretty well (I don't know how you call it --- Alum Crystals I guess...)

Re: Sweaty feet.

Terence, you might want to be careful with your stinky feet or THIS might happen to you.

Re: Sweaty feet.

May be a fungal problem - look up "Candida albicans" on google... the non-sugar diet is hard but works!!
