Here's an article entitled "Repelling an Attack With the Heart" which describes the reaction and response of Matt and Theresas Fluty sensei of The Aikido Center in Sacramento, CA when they found their aikido dojo vandalized on Christmas Day.

Its hard and annoying...... and I sympathise....... but look at it this way...... you still have a dojo and there will be many a "christmas day" to come yet..... did you have insurance to cover the damage?.... and if so consider putting/installing something in more substantial?

Take Care

Tony
