Do symbol Attendance @ Classes and Seminars

Here in Calgary, Alberta we have experienced a tough couple of years due to an economic decline related to the petrochemical industry downturn. I'd like to hear from other dojos in North America if they have experienced any decline in membership of drop off in seminar attendance in the past couple of years. Our children's program is thriving, but adult numbers have dropped. We have tried a number publicity and outreach efforts with little effect. Is it the economy, the multitude of other options/arts or need for a new approach to "sellling" our art. If you have, or have not, had similar experiences your feedback/suggestions would be appreciated. Cheers

Re: Attendance @ Classes and Seminars

Many dojo I know of have closed in large part due to declining adult enrollment; here in the states is started to be an issue in the economic crash nearly ten years ago and in many areas has not significantly improved.

Re: Attendance @ Classes and Seminars

I teach free classes, and still have attendance issues at times. Lots of reasons why, not all economic.
