Frustration

1/4/10 m [0s,0v] ? Once again, no one showed up for a Monday class. Too many other things going on. Talked to the head of staff and he put it on their agenda for tomorrow. He couldn't remember why they changed it from am to pm on Monday. I knew there would be administrative/scheduling issues and problems, but it is hard to stay motivated when no one shows up week after week. Well, onward into the fog!!

Re: Frustration

Can't you train with the instructor? I used to live in Longmeadow. I miss shopping at your mall. What a typical girl thing to say.....

Re: Frustration

Shoot those days when I'm the only one to show up are the best. I love getting a private class with sensei.

Is this just a Monday problem? Do people show up other days of the week?

Re: Frustration

The OP is not talking about having somebody to train WITH, he is running a specific program.

Re: Frustration

Thomas, just wanted to say hi.
RE: I was discharged in 1966 and began practicing Aikido in 1967, at New England Aikikai with Kanai Sensei. I was discharged from the Marine Corps in 1966 and trained with Kanai Sensei in 1967 until Eastern Mountain Sports shipped me off to New York to open a store.

It was a wonderful introduction to Aikido. Training in Reno, NV now.

Hang in there, I'm sure the classes will pick up. This is a hard time of year to get people together.

Cheers,
Jeff

I see thank you. In that case.... yeah hang in there. It got real slow at my dojo too for the past few weeks. Which for my own selfish reasons was just perfect. Now if you can just find yourself at least one very obsessive student who wants to train all the time.....

Re: Frustration

Thomas, hang in there! What you are doing for the vets is wonderful and it will take time, time, and more time to build that level of confidence and trust with your "clients". These guys understand what it means to persevere and when they see that you won't quit on them, maybe they won't quit on you. Thank you and
Semper Fi.

If you find yourself with nothing to do, give me a call and come over to visit. I think you might have fun.
Hang in there
