Kawahara Sensei in Barbados - January

Kawahara Yukio Shihan (Shihan for Canada, Aikikai) will be conducting a weekend Seminar on Saturday, 21 January and Sunday, 22 January. We would like to invite all our friends to come down and enjoy the sand, sea and sun in Barbados for a couple weeks during the long cold Canadian Winter. Regular practices will be ongoing during the two weeks that Kawahara Sensei is in Barbados.

Cheap flights to Barbados are available during January if booked in the fall. Please contact Air Canada for flights out of Toronto Pearson and AA for flights out of Miami

Preliminary Winter Seminar Announcement

Location: Barbados, West Indies
Instructor: Kawahara Yukio Shihan for Canada (Aikikai)
Dates: 21 and 22 January 2006
Schedule: TBA (Depending on location)
Dojo: TBA (Location depends on number of persons preregistered)
Pre-registration: TBA (Please keep an eye out for our new website. It should be up and running by the end of October)
Price: TBA (This depends on number of people and, therefore, location. We expect the price to be between $25-50 US - payable in US dollars -- for the weekend)
Limits: 50 practitioners -- pre-registeration for the seminar will be required as we will have limited practice space. All Caribbean students, including BAF members, are also expected to pre-register.

Dress: Mudansha (white gi, white obi) Yudansha (white gi, black obi, hakama)

Rising Sun School of Martial Arts
27 Hanson Heights, St. George
MWF 19:30-21:00
Sun 09:00-10:30 (Sunday class cancelled during weekend of seminar & possible Thurs class 19:30-21:00 for these two weeks)
Limits: 20 practitioners

Unified Martial Arts Academy
15 Roebuck Street, Bridgetown, St. Michael
Tues 20:30- 22:00
Limits: 10 practitioners

Jane's Cottage, Bottom Bay, St. Philip
Aiki-ken, Aiki-jo, Atemi, & Tai-Sabaki Practices
(Shin-ken welcome, please inform Min. of Security & Defense for permission to bring in Shin-ken)
MTWTF 06:30-07:30
Limits: 6 practitioners

Saturday (golf day, no practice)
