Aikido (Sandan) vs Sumo World Champion video
Ben Edelen VS Byambajav Ulambayar
i don't the know the context of this 'sumo match', but kudos to the aikido guy for giving it a go.. but it really makes me wonder about the claim that by using aikido, one can deal with even the biggest, strongest person around...
anyways, this is the humor category, so just enjoy!

I have to note that when he was actually competing in Japanese sumo he never even made it into the higher divisions. Still, he looks pretty big.
Best,
Chris

A buddy of mine (the cameraman) bribed the staff at an embu supporting the International Sumo Federation for me to have a match with Byamba as a "birthday present". It was an extraordinary experience.

That is a Big Man, indeed. Kudos to Benjamin for having fun with it and, as said above, "giving it a go." Good sport!
Tactical Error 1 = That's a Big Dude! LOL!
Tactical Error 2 = Best friend filming the whole thing. Again, LOL!
Still cool, and it wasn't too awful. I liked it. Rather like being training-dummy uke for an Olympic level judoka, is the closest thing I could come to saying I've done.

I find it interesting that the kanji character for kuzushi illustrates a mountain falling on a house.

Tactical Error 3 = not wearing the sumo belt thingy. street clothes slow you down and sap your energy. see tactical error #1.
strategical error 1 = didn't tell the big guy that you will take him out to the all-you-can-eat-buffet if he pretends to lose
strategical error 2 = didn't distract the big guy with a good looking woman carrying a large oven roasted turkey with a side of mash potato and a case of beer
