Profile Picture

Another new feature is the ability of each registered member to have a picture of themselves in their profile.

To upload an image to your profile:
  • Go into your Preferences section (Thumbnail 1)
  • Go to your "Edit Profile Picture" section (Thumbnail 2)
  • Use the "Custom Profile Picture" upload feature (Thumbnail 3)

    1. Use the Browse button to locate your profile image on your computer
    2. Enter a comment about your picture (eg "This is me in my dogi and hakama")
    3. Press the "Save Changes" button to save your profile image

Registered members can see an "album" of currently uploaded profile pictures by going to the "Member Profile Album" under "Quick Links" in the top navigation bar (Thumbnail 4).

I hope people find the new "profile picture" feature fun and interesting!

Re: Profile Picture

I'd add my picture, but it would end up costing your users hundreds, if not thousands of dollars in monitor replacement after my ugly mug appeared on their screen.

Re: Profile Picture

I uploaded both a profile pick (with my face tastefully obscured for the weak) and an avatar.

I understand the profile picture has to be released but what about the avater - it's not showing up.

It looks like you have your preferences set to not show avatars...

Go to Preferences then Edit Options. Down in the "Thread Display Options," you'll see a checkbox for "Show Avatars." Make sure that's checked to see everyone's avatar icons.

Relatedly, if you check "Show Images," you'll start seeing nifty little thumbnail images for attached images, too.

Let me know if that doesn't work for you.
