Hi, I am an Aikido Lover, 2nd dan of Aiki-kai, and just moved to Harare, Zimbabwe from Tokyo. I'm looking for the place I can practice Aikido here, but seems no dojo. If there are anyone who has any information about Aikido in Zimbabwe, or anyone who can parctice Aikido with me here, please inform to help me.

Suggestion or recomendation are also very wellcome.

Thank you.

Hi Yukihide,

If you do find a dojo in Zimbabwe, please let me know! I don't seem to have any listed in the AikiWeb Dojo Search Engine.

Your profile shows you trained at Shounan Aikido Renmei -- this would be Takeda sensei's dojo? I've trained with him in the San Francisco area for the past four years. Unfortunately, I won't be able to make his gasshuku in Canada this year, though. Too bad; I love his aikido and his teachings...

Thank you for your reply. Though I have not yet got any information, I found Judo-dojo in this town. So at least there is a place can practice Aikido. Then, what next? .... I am wondering now.

Yes, I trained at Takeda sensei's dojo in Japan. Of course, I love his Aikido too. I was also invited to join his Canada gassyuku this summer, but it's too far from here.

If I will be able to start practicing Aikido here in any style, I will register the Dojo Search Engine.
Thank you again.

Maybe you can start your own dojo?

I was in Kamakura last August, but as I was coming back from a week in Thailand, I didn't have my dogi, hakama, or anything so I didn't stop by his dojo. Hopefully next time. (I'll have to continue working on my hara/neko ukemi, too!)

Please feel encouraged to do so. And, please feel welcome in sharing with us your aikido experiences over there in Zimbabwe.

Regards,
