Would love to "see" different aikido style's techniques. If you have videos or know where to go to see video clips, please post the site(s).

Have you any idea how that comes across? Maybe not meant in the way it sounds, but going on the way you post here......

A difficult problem is easily solved by asking yourself the question, "Just how would the Lone Ranger handle this?"

Mike I understand. I have found, after studying a few different styles of Aikido, that different teachers may use different names for a technique. Our verbiage and techniques naming has been set and handed down by Shizuo Imaizumi. (Imaizumi-Sensei information)
Call it hamburger or ground beef, I still think that it is the same stuff.
Thanks for the comment.

Imaizumi's nomenclature was made to clarify 'which Kokyunage' was being shown. At first it does add to the learning curve, but once you learn the 30 new words it adds to the clarity of what is being asked, and how to do it.

Mary, those are great videos.
Are they of a testing or a demonstration?
Thanks,
Elizabeth

okay doug, i was on the verge of hijacking this thread and going off on my own tangent, but you entered at the appropriate moment... great aiki!!!
I know its not Aikido per se, but it is kind of funny and aikido and and jujutsu are related and share similar principles... notice the relaxation and ki extension...

Re: Aikido Video Clips...Please Post
Anyone have any idea how to post video clips if they are not on a website (My understanding of technology only goes so far, so it might not be possible)? Something like a photobucket account or something... I have a few clips on my computer taken with a digital camera, but no website at the moment. I'd be more then happy to share if possible...
