Hello Aiki browsers and all fellow Aikidoka!
Thought I'd take the time to introduce myself properly.
I have been studying Shudokan style Aikido here in the UK for about the last four years and am about to try for ikkyu brown belt (wish me well)
Shudokan Aikido stems from the Japanese Yoshinkan and today we still have much reference to Kancho Shioda's teachings. Shudokan Aikido was introduced to the UK by one Soke Ted Stratton 9th Dan (See Si Wilson's Aikigallery pics!) who trained under Master Thamby Rajah, head of Shudokan Aikido International, who's teacher was Shioda Sensei.
So my Aikido Club lineage goes like this:-
O'Sensei
Gozo Shioda Sensei
Thamby Rajah Sensei
Ted Stratton Sensei
My Teachers: Chris Challacombe Sensei and John MacDonald Sensei.
Can't think of anything witty to end this intro with so I'll bid you all good training and look forward to further interaction with Aikiweb
Cheers
Matt
