Selling katana in the UK

I have a katana I inherited from my father a few years ago. I am no expert on these things, but I have a feeling it is a decent quality sword. I have no use for it in my training and don't feel comfortable with it sitting around in my house, so I would like to sell it on.

Can anyone suggest how I might set about selling it here in the UK? I have found a few weapons dealers online, as well as various auction houses, but don't really know where to start.

Thanks!

Alex

Have you checked out Don Bayney - he is a top guy on all things Japanese - ` Donbaney Blog ` should give you his contact details, get back to me if you have any contact problems and I will find his phone number. Chiba Sensei and Abbe Sensei always dealt with Don.
Good luck

Thanks, Henry. I have just had a look at Don's website, and I will definitely get in touch with him.
