Aikido Benefit Seminar in Grand Rapids, MI, 6/11

Posted 2005-05-06 13:06:40 by Tim Rohr

On April 7, the Mirandette family suffered the terrible tragedy of losing a son in a terrorist attack. We friends and students have looked for ways to give aid and comfort. Now is a time when we all can help. Andrew M. Sato, 6th Dan Aikikai, will be instructing a one-day seminar to benefit the family. Come join us for an Aikido event full of not only good training, but good thoughts as well.

Date: June 11, 2005.
Times: 10-1 and 3-6.
Where: Senshinkan Dojo (Mirandette's Martial Arts Center, 4560 Bowen SE, Kentwood, MI 49508).

Rick Mirnadette Sensei is dojo cho of Senshinkan Dojo. All proceeds from the seminar will go to a fund set up in memory of Alex Mirandette.

Tim Rohr of Senshinkan Dojo was kind enough to invite us up for this event.

Myself and two other students were happy to attend this coming together of aikido practitioners and wished we were able to do more to help out.

The seminar itself was fantastic. Sato Sensei has excellent aikido and teaching skills, not to mention being an overall nice guy

I got to meet some more AikiWeb folks and to date have had only good experiences doing so. All of the people at Senshinkan Dojo were great hosts and all the AAA students were helpful and patient with us as we come from a different style...it was greatly appreciated.

Thanks for allowing us to be a part of this. It was a great experience
