Aikido Podcast - David Shaner Sensei, Chief Instructor of the Eastern Ki Federation!
We haven't had a chance to interview anyone from the Ki-Aikido realm, so we decided to remedy that with this podcast! David Shaner is the Chief Instructor of the Eastern Ki Federation and is Japan Headquarter's Advisor to Eastern Europe and Western Russia. He has been training with Tohei sensei for 38 years and was an uchi deshi (live-in student).
We focus on ki development and ki in daily life.

Hope you enjoy it!

Re: Aikido Podcast - David Shaner Sensei, Chief Instructor of the Eastern Ki Federati
This podcast is a must-hear for those interested in Aikido history, and that of the Ki no Kenkyukai organization. It has been my great pleasure to have been acquainted with Shaner Sensei for the past few years, and he is one of the truly bright lights in the sky for me. He has been very helpful to me with information and understanding of Tohei Sensei's teachings. I am very happy to see his message reach a broader audience.

Jeff,
Thank you very much for sharing this info. I thoroughly enjoyed listening and learning. Sensei Bob King and Jeff Davidson did a good interview. I hope they do another one.
Thanks,

Re: Aikido Podcast - David Shaner Sensei, Chief Instructor of the Eastern Ki Federation!
Wow... I'm searching for something David Shaner Sensei said, which I first heard in this podcast, and found this discussion. Dunno if anyone will see my comment, as the thread has been quiet for just a hair over 10 years (whoa!), but this series of interviews was an important part of my decision to start training - on May 9, 2009 - a year after this discussion. I still have the recordings, and find new insights whenever I listen to them again. Thank you, Jeff, for producing this excellent (if short-lived) podcast.
