I came in the living room one night and just missed watching Las Vegas. It's a pretty good show, was better last season, but it's still okay.
Anyhow... Aikido all over the place! Two weeks ago, Danny (head of security) took down this guy on the street and locked him up in Ikkyo... just started walking him down the street to his car. Was quick and really good. LAST show, a guest star, who I think stars on "Crossing Jordan," locked up a guy with a standing Gokyo pin.
Last season, Ed, "president" of the casino and ex-CIA spook, used a few moves as well but was more brutal with em.
POINT IS... I'm seeing a lot more locking and pinning techniques on this show and I'm lovin' it! Aikido is so fluid, dynamic and entertaining... it suprises me that "Hollywood" doesn't use more of it as opposed to the stupid barroom brawling techniques of punching, kicking and smashing heads with stuff.
Anyone else seeing Aikido on shows or in movies? (other than Segal Sensei who succumbed to barroom brawl techniques of Hollywood)
