There was a guy at our main dojo that left to Jamaica to "find his center". Years later he returned and Sensei asked him if he had indeed "found his center". He didn't.

Moral - Your center can't be found somewhere else. It is within you. You need to cultivate it. Stay put.

In all honesty, I don`t think this is fair. You posted on your personal situation and Mr. Uttech responded. It seems to me that this is the nature of sites such as these. Mark Uttech is well-known in the American mid-west, for not only being an excellent martial artist/teacher, but also for being a great guy.
