How about some more details about yourself like, are you currently training in aikido? Have you ever trained in aikido? For how long? What is your current grade in aikido? Details!

Otherwise, open a dojo, find some students and teach. Now you're an aikido instructor. Congratulations

Like getting to Carnegie Hall... Practice....
(I'm sorry, I couldn't resist an old joke...) In all seriousness, wouldn't you start by training?

Re: How to become an aikido instructor in Egypt?

step 1 - become an aikido instructor
step 2 - move to Egypt
That'll be $500 for the advice.

I assume you are trying to find out if you have to get certified by some national board in Egypt or what it takes to get the proper insurance, etc. I have no idea. I think you may want to contact aikido dojos in Egypt and talk to them.

Onegaishimasu. It may help to find an aikido instructor who is already there and ask him/her.

Use the dojo search feature on this web site. You will find 9 dojo in Egypt and 7 in Cairo. Ask one or all of them what they suggest.

Probably easier to give Rob L. the $500 and take that advice. Cairo is pretty big so find a location far removed from the other established dojos just to minimize the 'cramp' factor.

Of course, one can go 'old school' and storm an existing dojo and just move in and take over (irimi and control the center).

Re: How to become an aikido instructor in Egypt?

A couple of years ago, when travelling thru Egypt, Mohammed Omar, 5th Dan, one of Egypt's leading instructors, was kind enough to bring along an english speaking student and they met with me for about an hour. He is a warm fellow, and I am sure he or one of his students could provide you with some information. His email is: egyaikido@hotmail.com
