YouTube: Christian Tisser in Dartford, UK 2012

Here's a video clip of Christian Tissier (7th dan) teaching in Dartford, UK in 2012.

What are your thoughts on this video?

Re: YouTube: Christian Tisser in Dartford, UK 2012

There are some differences between what he is doing and the style I practice but I enjoy watching his videos very much.

I cannot help loving the grace and relaxed effectiveness of his aikido. He possess a sense of timing and an ability to look competent and in control without ever being threatening or aggressive which I find is a key element in the type of Aikido I am pursuing.

As an example of a person who embodies Aikido in a good way and who can be studied via YouTube - II tend to push my students towards Tissier rather than Seagal. They both have a talent for creating a persona - but I can much better relate to the persona (and Aikido style) of Tissier.

One more thing: next time he comes to UK - please let me know

Tissier Sensei is like a conductor, expertly guiding the performance of some of the best ukemi in the world.
