Aikido Thespians

I found this video celebrating the birthday of a dojo's sensei and thought everyone might enjoy seeing some creative celebration.

Hopefully all dojo's are similarly harmonious.

Thank you for sharing that video. I enjoyed the song, and I almost feel like I've met Doran Sensei for the first time. He must be the first 28 year old rokudan in the history of the ASU; he is a prodigy indeed!

I had not seen this video before. It certainly is a loving, good-humored, and fitting tribute to a very dedicated teacher. Thanks for posting it.

Re: Aikido Thespians

Hi folks,

Since it hasn't been pointed out yet, I wanted to clarify that Frank Doran sensei is currently 7th dan and is the head of the California Aikido Federation division II. The CAF has no formal organizational ties with ASU (Aikido Schools of Ueshiba) and Doran sensei has never been a part of ASU.
