Video clips

I'd like to see video clips of Aikido in action, especially from the great masters like Saito sensei and Alexander sensei. Is there anywhere online where I can find such clips?

I'm especially interested in Randori/Jiyu Waza and partner weapons.

Thanks!

Re: Video clips

Stan Pranin over at Aikido Journal has a lot of online video archive, but you need to subscribe to get most of it. There are a couple of freebies though.

Re: Video clips

You can also do a google search for "aikido mov" or "aikido mpeg" or what format you like, and a lot of links will turn up. :

Yeah, that's the guy. I've trained under him in seminars. He's brutal.

Thanks!

So your definition of a great master is 'brutal' ?

Hmmm.

Re: Video clips

Well, whatever floats your boat but Daren has an interesting point which I tend to agree with.

Re: Video clips

Oh no, he's not great because he's brutal. He's just... good. And he won't tolerate anyone giving anything but their best effort. He keeps high expectations and constantly challenges what you thought you couldn't do.

Re: Video clips

Here is a place I just found with a ton of really high quality clips, usually 2 minutes or more.

Thanks for all the great responses!
