Wink Voices of Inexperience

Hey Jun,

How about a forum for folks that haven't yet started aikido, or have only trained several months?

In reading through some of the recent posts, it seems clear that they have some of the most fervent responses and questions.

Levity here, but maybe actually a fun forum.

I think it's a good idea. I remember the time when I registered(just had a couple of sessions then), As much as I wanted to post something I couldn't relate to the terminologies. I't took me a long time and a lot of practice to understand what people were posting.

Although there is a language barrier in certain terms, there always seems to be an adaptation to include strange terms into the English language. None of us, even the most experienced should ever consider ourselves the voice of experience. Although we may relate storys of our experiences, and what we think of things as we see them and they apply to our own lives, in the end, we either share what works for us, or it will die with us.

Inexperienced or not, it is always a good idea to exchange storys and ideas ... even if it is the voice of inexperience.

This idea that humour and mistakes are the sole preserve of the novice!! well I think all of us however long we`ve practiced find ourselves blanking. I`ve been teaching Aikido for over fifteen years and spent an entire session a week ago calling Shionage, sankyo, the saddest thing was no one picked up on it. Or they were too polite to interrupt the mad woman in her own little world of aikido fantasy.
